The 3D varnish special finish is created by applying a clear polymer to the areas you want to highlight, which must be indicated in your file using the “Finishing” colour swatch. The polymer is then cured, resulting in a three-dimensional effect to the touch and a glossy finish.
Here are some tips for making the most of 3D varnish:
To achieve a truly striking effect, apply the 3D varnish over printed elements, keeping in mind that it will be even more visible if these elements are dark on a light background, or vice versa
Avoid applying 3D varnish to an area without graphics or contrasting colour: if applied directly on a uniform background, the varnish will be barely visible, and text and logos may become difficult to read

To make the most of it, only apply the 3D varnish onto printed graphic elements, to achieve a striking result.
