Adhesive application

The application of self-adhesive vinyl varies depending on the chosen material; in general, it is always important to ensure that the application surface is clean and free of residues.

  • PVC self-adhesive vinyl (monomeric/polymeric) can be applied to washable surfaces such as glass, plastic and metal with a simple spray of water and the help of a squeegee to avoid the formation of bubbles. Application on walls, on the other hand, should be done dry
  • Pre-spaced vinyl decals should be positioned on the application surface with the translucent film (application tape) provided with the product facing towards you, and secured in place using adhesive tape. Then, lift one side of the vinyl and gradually peel off the white paper backing, cutting a strip of it with a box cutter or scissors. The exposed section should then be pressed onto the surface using a squeegee. Continue removing the rest of the paper backing gradually, applying the vinyl as you go. Once the application is complete, the application tape should be removed by pulling it back at an angle of approximately 180°. • Electrostatic film, which is adhesive-free, cling to smooth or glass surfaces through static electricity and can therefore be repositioned multiple times without leaving any residue
  • For Cast self-adhesive vinyl, which is suitable for car wrapping, it is advisable to start wearing gloves. Begin securing the vinyl to the vehicle bodywork using adhesive tape or magnets. Then, fold down the upper section horizontally, remove a portion of the paper backing at a time, and gently apply the vinyl, unrolling it gradually with a felt squeegee, working from the centre towards the edges. For concave or convex surfaces, we recommend using a heat gun to ensure proper adhesion. For more information, please refer to the instructions available on the product page. For the best results, we recommend having the vinyl applied by a professional
