The PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) is the new European regulation that introduces common rules on packaging and packaging waste across all European Union Member States.
The regulation establishes new requirements for packaging, from its design stage through to end-of-life management, with the aim of reducing its environmental impact.
The regulation affects various operators throughout the supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, importers, distributors, and other entities placing packaging on the European Union market, defining specific obligations and responsibilities for each.
