Opt for SADDLE STITCHED for a sleek, compact publication that’s easy to flip through and makes a bold statement!

In this binding technique, sheets of paper are folded in half and then bound together along the fold with two metal staples. It’s ideal for shorter booklets and often preferred due to its convenience, portability and lightweight feel. Whether you need 8 pages or up to 100 (depending on your paper choice), this binding style works great for advertising, informational content, and more.

Print your company profile, detailed event program or periodical magazine (newsletter or fanzine). Stapled binding is also a great choice for menus, price lists, and short catalogs.  Bring your creative projects to life by printing travel memories, coloring books or self-made planners with our stapled bindings... There’s no limit to what you can create!

LET'S FIND YOUR PERFECT FIT!
  • Closed format: Start by selecting the closed format of your magazine. Choose from standard sizes or customize it to your needs. From 3.94” x 5.83” to 11.69” x  11.69”, create your fully personalized booklet and stand out with a non-conventional size: surprise your readers with a squared or a stretched format

  • Orientation: Picture your printed book closed and then select portrait or landscape layout. Please remember that staples are always on the left side of the closed product. If your publication is in a right-to-left script (like in RTL languages), make sure to design your layout with the content flowing from end to beginning
  • Number of pages: select the total number of pages from the options available (it must be a multiple of 4). Include the cover (4 pages) in the selection. Example: if you have 20 inside pages, the total number of pages must be 24, as the cover always counts as 4 (if you don’t want to print the inside cover, white pages still count).

We recommend downloading instructions and template, available under the price and delivery date tab, to create a print-ready file

  • Paper: based on your previous selection, only paper types and weights are available are automatically shown. The shorter your booklet is, the wider the selection of papers will be.

We offer the possibility to print cover and interior pages with different paper types and weights.

We offer:

  • Uncoated paper: (60, 80, 100 lb + 120lb for cover only) a white, natural uncoated paper, wood-free and durable, best choice for handwriting
  • Recycled paper: (80lb) uncoated and made with 100% recycled fibers, available only for inside pages, it marks your publication as environmentally friendly
  • Satin paper: (70, 80, 100lb + 130lb for cover only) a long-lasting white, wood-free, coated paper that enhances the quality of photographs, bringing out the smallest details perfectly and producing clear text
  • Gloss paper: (70, 80, 100lb + 130lb for cover only) a white, wood-free, gloss coated paper. Its brightness, silky finish and durability produce long-lasting and sharp printed images with rich, full colors

You can decide to print cover and inside with the same paper and weight (self cover option). However, the cover is frequently printed on a higher weight and is laminated. Adding coating is recommended to protect the print from scratches and liquids. We offer gloss coating for glossy papers, to add brightness to your graphics, and matte or soft touch coating for satin papers, for a shine-free finish that still ensures a sophisticated appearance – go with the soft touch for an even more exclusive finish thanks to its velvety touch.

Coating really adds a touch of elegance to your publication, enhancing colors and providing a polished effect.

Just remember to use uncoated, smooth paper if you plan to write on your printed product.

In case you need a longer publication, pick another binding type: perfect binding are ideal for printing long novels, catalogs, long reports and presentations.

FAQ
  • Will my booklet open flat?

The two-staple binding lets your booklet lay flat and makes it easy to flip through.

  • Is there an option for different staples (colors, sizes, etc.)?

Our stapled booklets use saddle stitching. Staple color (metal), size, and position cannot be customized. Staples are placed automatically at a central point, with spacing that varies by format.

  • I want staples on the top side of the booklet; how can I do that?

As the binding is always done on the left side. If you want the staples at the top, choose the layout based on your preferred reading direction (portrait for long-side staples, landscape for short-side), and rotate your file 90° accordingly.

  • My booklet has a bulge when closed, is that normal?

With stapled booklets that have only a few pages printed on thicker paper, it’s totally normal.

  • Are your stapled binding publications offset or digital printing?

We use digital printing to deliver high-quality results.

  • How can I create my designs?

At the moment, the Designer tool to create the layout from scratch is not available for this product. However, on the product page, we provide instructions and template to create a print ready file on your own (with a design software). Thanks to the new preview service, you'll still be able to make some minor adjustments to your file before printing.
