How to locate the safe area
In our downloadable templates, you can find guidelines in different colors that help you correctly position the elements of your design. Among these lines, there is a red one labeled safe area.
When using our online Designer tool, the line that defines the safe area is green instead.
What is the Safe Area for?
When printed products are cut, slight shifts of 1-2 mm in the cut are inevitable. This variance is an industry-standard cutting tolerance. Because materials can shift slightly during high-speed trimming, the safe area acts as a buffer for your design.
That's why it's important to place text and graphics within the safe area to ensure they aren't cut off or positioned too close to the edge, which could result in an unprofessional look.

Print result with text outside the safe area (left) and within the safe area (right).
Always place text and key graphic elements within the safe area to ensure a high-quality result!
