Here are some helpful tips to make uploading your file as quick and easy as possible. Depending on the product you choose, these specifications may change:
File format
Single or multi-page file
Follow these tips to help ensure a smooth upload process!
FILE FORMAT:
We highly recommend uploading your file in PDF format for best results.
For simpler products (no spot colors, front-only or front-and-back printing), JPG, JPEG, or PNG files are also accepted
If you’re using our free Designer tool, you can upload files in JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, or PDF formats to build your design online
PAGE COUNT:
For front-only printing, upload a single-page file (PDF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG)
-
For front-and-back printing, you can either:
Upload one PDF with two pages, or
Upload two separate files
For more complex designs (like certain display items), a multi-page file may be required. Be sure to use the product’s downloadable template or create your design using the Designer tool.
-
For books or magazines, we recommend creating one single PDF that includes both the cover and interior pages. The template will guide you, usually starting with the cover and spine (if applicable), followed by the inside content.
Alternatively, you can create two separate files to upload within the same job: one for the cover and one for the inside pages. In this case, the cover file must include all required sides and be laid out either as a spread or as single pages, depending on the selected binding type.
Remember that for perfect-bound and sewn books, the cover must always be laid out flat; as a result, the number of pages in the template (and therefore in your PDF file) will always be fewer than the total number of pages indicated in the quote
-
If you decide to upload multiple files, please note that:
-
For front-and-back printing:
File 1: Front
File 2: Back
-
For books and magazines:
File 1: Cover
File 2: Inside Pages
-
If you're using Designer to build a front-and-back product, make sure to add your design to both Table 1 (front/outside) and Table 2 (back/inside) before proceeding.
We strongly recommend downloading the template from the product page or your Upload Area before creating your file. And if you’re unsure about anything, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to help!
